Terms & Conditions

Before booking your treatments at Jems, please take a moment to read through our Terms & Conditions.

Appointments & Bookings

  • ​All treatments are subject to availability and must be booked in advance. We recommend booking early to secure preferred times.

  • We do require a 50% booking fee to secure your appointment. Booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable unless sufficient notice is given as outlined below.

Cancellations & No-Shows

  • We kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

    • Less than 24 hours’ notice may result in loss of your 50% booking fee or a charge of up to 50% of the treatment cost

    • Failure to attend your appointment may result in being charged 100% of the treatment price

  • If you arrive for your appointment and decide to cancel part of your treatment (for example, choosing only one of two booked treatments), the cancellation policy will still apply to the cancelled treatment(s).

  • Failure to attend a required patch test will also fall under the cancellation policy, as we will be unable to proceed with your treatment.

Late Arrivals

  • If you are running late, please inform us as soon as possible so we can try to amend your booking where possible.

  • If you arrive late, your treatment time may be shortened to avoid delaying other clients, and the full treatment price will still apply. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may be unable to carry out your treatment and this may be treated as a late cancellation.

Payments & Pricing

  • All prices are subject to change without notice. The price charged will be the price confirmed at the time of booking.

  • Payment is due at the time of treatment unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash and card payments.

Refunds

  • We do not offer refunds on completed treatments, courses, packages, memberships, or gift vouchers.

  • If you are unhappy with your treatment, please inform us within 48 hours so we can assess and aim to resolve the issue.

Courses, Packages & Memberships

  • All courses and treatment packages:

    • Are non-refundable and non-transferable

    • Must be used within the stated time period (if applicable)

    • Missed sessions with insufficient notice may be forfeited

  • Skin memberships are ongoing unless cancelled in line with the agreed notice period.

Medical Information & Patch Tests

  • Clients must disclose all relevant medical history, allergies, medications, and skin conditions before treatment.

  • Patch tests are required for certain treatments (including lashes, brows, semi-permanent makeup and some advanced skin treatments). Failure to attend a required patch test may result in your appointment being cancelled (and will fall under the cancellation policy).

  • We reserve the right to refuse treatment if it is deemed unsafe or unsuitable.

Treatment Results

  • Results can vary between individuals and cannot be guaranteed. We will always provide honest professional advice based on your skin, body, and goals.

Age Restrictions

  • Some treatments are subject to age limits and may require parental consent for clients under 18.

  • Advanced aesthetic treatments are strictly for clients aged 18+.

Gift vouchers

  • Gift vouchers: 

    • Are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash

    • Must be used by the expiry date stated 

  • ​ Lost vouchers cannot be replaced; however, please inform us and we will attempt to track them on our system where possible

Personal Belongings

  • Jems Health and Beauty cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal items brought into the salon.

Right to Refuse Service

  • We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment to anyone displaying inappropriate, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour.

Complaints

  • All complaints must be made in writing to jems@jemshealthandbeauty.com.

  • We take all feedback seriously and aim to resolve concerns professionally and fairly.

Privacy

  • All client information is treated confidentially and in line with UK data protection regulations. Your details will never be shared without your consent.
